AAUP Proposes Tuition Remission and Alignment Memorandum of Agreement
AAUP and Rutgers Administration met this afternoon in full negotiations for a 2-hour session as scheduled by Administration, which was delayed by Administration arriving 35 minutes late. In response to the Administration’s 11/20/14 proposed Memorandum of Agreement concerning tuition remission, alignment and the Appointments & Promotions policy and procedure, your Union representatives proposed:
*To provide you and your dependents (now and in retirement) the tuition remission benefits provided to legacy Rutgers Faculty and Staff, effective Spring of 2015, without being required to accept the proposed A & P Guidelines.
*The option to have your current 5-day salary holdback either reimbursed to you now or paid out when you leave Rutgers.
Additional details related to membership in the AAUP Unit were discussed.
Administration did not further discuss compensation.
We are scheduled to meet again with Administration on January 7 and 29 and February 17 and 23, 2015.
