Dear AAUP-BHSNJ Faculty,

At this time, both base pay increases have been paid out. June 8th and July 21.

There were many issues with the raise that was paid out June 8th. This was a $5035 raise to base salaries retroactive to July 1, 2022 for those on payroll June 30, 2022. (Note that the $5035 was really closer to $4600 in the June 8 paycheck since it is not a full 12-month of retro.) Also, even if you were not a union unit member June 30th, the minimum base salary must still be adjusted if it is below the level listed in our contract. On top of the $5035 raise, there was be an additional 3.5% raise to base salaries paid out July 21, 2023 (retroactive to July 1, 2023). You had to be on payroll June 30, 2023 to get this raise. Even if you were not, any minimum salaries in your appointment letter must be adjusted.

We continue to work through various issues concerning these raises.
