Dear AAUP-BHSNJ Members:

On April 30th, we met with Rutgers in our collaborative negotiations. Our focus was on SHRP, which is a part of our bargaining unit, but has not yet been incorporated into our AAUP contract. The Dean of SHRP was present we had a very productive conversation about the best way to protect and merge the terms and conditions of our SHRP faculty into our new agreement.

We also discussed Academic Freedom and Professional Ethics, an issue that affects all of our members. Our next meeting is on May 7th. Our newly established collaborative relationship continues to be productive and we believe we are on track to attaining a fair contract for you.
