AAUP and Rutgers Administration met today for 2 and 1/2 hours of negotiations.
AAUP used today’s session to re-focus discussion on your number one priority, compensation. We discussed increasing salaries, extramural support incentive awards, as well as an incentivized retirement package. Despite Rutgers’ proud announcement of exceeding its $1 billion fundraising goal and offering across-the-board increases to other union and non-union employees, Rutgers continues its resistance at our negotiating table.
We are scheduled to meet again with Administration on February 17 and 23, 2015.
